This is one of the easiest recipes to make.  Its a great breakfast for those who are busy and need to eat something right away in the morning if you are on the go!  Or perfect for the kiddos as well and a wonderful breakfast for summer months.

 

Use your preferred non dairy milk.  We are blessed to have so many choices these days oat, almond, hemp, soy and coconut milks to name a few.

Health Benefits

​

Adding chia seeds to your oatmeal is a great way to get insoluble fiber which keeps you fuller longer.  Chia seeds also scrub your intestinal track that helps in getting rid of toxins in your system.

Almonds help to lower your blood sugar levels, reduce blood pressure and lower cholesterol levels.

If you can purchase organic quick oats.  These will set up well for your overnight oats.

If you do have any fresh berries on hand toss in some freeze dried berries.  These are good items to keep on hand for backup.

Almond milk is a great non dairy milk to use that does not over power the dish.

Presentation

The best way to prepare and serve this dish is to get small mason jars with lids.  Once you prepare your oats you can quickly put them in the refrigerator and grab a jar in the morning to enjoy.

You can always top off your oats with extra berries or nuts!

Budget Tips

To keep save a little money try to buy your oatmeal in the bulk food section of your grocery store.  They may not have organic oats but it can save you money not buying prepackaged items.  You can also buy your chia seeds and non diary milk online or at a club store which will save you money.

The perfect way to store your overnight oats is to use glass jars with air tight lids.

Keep your ingredients like oats, chia seeds and extra almonds in a air tight concealed food container.

Food Combinations

So many things you can add to your oats if you have time.  The perfect addition to overnight oats is a fresh glass of vegetable juice.  The two combined makes for one of the healthiest breakfast you can consume!

What to do with left over's or extra product?

You can make regular hot oatmeal with left over oats or cranberry muffins which is always a great start to anyone's day!

DIRECTIONS

Add your oats to a glass jar and poor in your non dairy milk.  Make sure to stir well so all the oats are coated with the milk.

Mix in your chia seeds and stir well to integrate.

Top your oats with sliced almonds and fresh, frozen or freeze dried berries of choice.  Seal the container with a lid and place in the refrigerator overnight.
